About Promptolution · Veteran-owned · Connecticut
A small company, built for small businesses.
Promptolution is a military veteran-owned company in Connecticut. We build custom AI automation for small business owners — the kind that takes the repetitive work off your plate, runs in accounts you own, and is measured in the hours it gives back.
Why we exist
AI was sold to big companies. The busywork lives in small ones.
No hype. No complexity.
Just measurable impact.
Most of what’s written about AI is aimed at companies with an IT department and a budget to experiment. Meanwhile, the owner of a ten-person business is still copying the same information into three systems, answering the same questions by hand, and catching up on paperwork after dinner.
Promptolution started to close that gap. Since founding, we’ve designed and built knowledge databases and engineered AI workflows for small and mid-sized businesses in healthcare, real estate, professional services and the trades — automating the processes each organization already ran, with a person accountable for every decision the system touched.
That’s still the whole approach: learn how your business really works, build only what pays for itself, hand you the keys on day one, and stay honest about what AI can and can’t do.
The founder
Built by a systems builder, not a salesman.
Matt Piontkowski
Founder · Promptolution LLC

Matt served in the infantry with the 82nd Airborne and deployed to Iraq. He came home with a habit that still runs the company: know the mission, plan before you move, and own the outcome.
He’s a self-taught systems builder, driven by curiosity and the belief that there’s always more to learn. He taught himself Python, which led to a paid internship at The Rowland Institute at Harvard. That curiosity hasn’t slowed down: he’s now pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence.
Matt was writing deterministic scripts — code that does exactly the same thing every time — before ChatGPT came along. Today he pairs them with AI: dependable pipelines where the answer has to be exact, AI agents where judgment helps, and a person in the loop wherever it matters. His work includes self-organizing knowledge bases that get better the more they’re used.
Matt likes projects that build on what he’s already learned and put to work — so Promptolution’s work isn’t limited to the industries it has served. He enjoys taking on new projects in new industries, and every one brings along what the last one taught.
He’s an open-source advocate who believes you should own your work. That’s why every client owns the systems he builds for them, and nobody is ever tied to a retainer.

Accountable to results.
Plan before you move
You approve a written build plan before we build anything.
Know who’s responsible
A named person is accountable for every decision the system touches.
Leave it better documented
Plain-English guides, so your team can run it without us.
Review what happened
We measure results after launch and tune what didn’t hold up.
What we believe
Six rules we don’t bend.
They’re in every proposal
we write.
Fit the work you already do
01We map how your business really runs before we suggest anything. The AI bends to your process, not the other way around.
Plain English, always
02No buzzwords and no demos that never ship. If you can’t explain what the system does to your team in a sentence, we haven’t done our job.
You own it from day one
03Every workflow, account, document and piece of data lives in your business’s name. If we part ways, it all keeps running.
A person answers for every decision
04The AI handles the routine. Anything important goes to a person with the full context attached — and that person is accountable for it.
A written price before we build
05Projects start at $3,000. Discovery ($1,000) ends with a written price for each build, and the fee is deducted if you hire us to build it. No required retainer after launch.
We’ll say when AI isn’t the answer
06Sometimes the fix is a better form, a checklist or a conversation. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you on the first call and it won’t cost you a thing.
What we’ve built
Systems that outlast the project.
Healthcare · Real estate ·
Professional services · Trades
Turning what lives in people’s heads and scattered folders into answers the whole team can find.
Automating the processes an organization already ran — intake, follow-up, paperwork — without changing who makes the call.
Producing and keeping current the manuals, instructions and records a business depends on.
Every system engineered. Every outcome intentional.
Where to start
Tell us how your business runs.
Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. We’ll look at how your business runs, find the busywork worth automating first, and explain how Discovery works and what it costs. If AI isn’t the answer, we’ll say so.
